Game Introduction

2D action shooter platform game. You will play through multiple stages with each be different like having different enemies with different abilities. You must plan out how you will defeat enemies and how you may reach certain points like jumping to a platform.

Story

You play as "Wolf" and you are one of the best and most feared bounty hunters in the world. The story of the game will be you to hunt your bounty target who is the most wanted criminal in the world. Along the way you will run into the enemies that will try to stop you from reaching your target. You will travel through different stages like the city and jungle. Along the way you may run into different characters that may help you or try to stop you.

How to Play

This will be a platform shooter. Combat with enemies will be from range with your character's laser rifle. Through progression you may earn other weapons like grenades for example. The genre is platform so jumping will be important and timing your jump will be critical as there will be moving platforms and enemies. In each stage you there will items that may heal your character or give a boost to your character like taking no damage from enemies for 30 seconds.

User Interface (controls)

Running, jumping and shooting your weapon will be the most important control features for this game. As this will be 2d platform, you will only be able to move left and right.

S= Move left

D= Move right

J= Jump

K= Fire weapon


Platform

This game will be played on a computer platform.

Heads Up Display (HUD)

In the top left corner of the screen, there will be a green health bar. Under the health, the player score may be visible to see how much score the player has earned in each stage.

Character 1

Wolf: This will be the character you play as. He is a bounty hunter who wears armour that protects him. His main weapon is his laser rifle. He is called "Wolf" because he prefers to works alone. Only kills his bounty targets if necessary and anyone that protects them.

Character 2

Snake: This will be one of the bosses you face in the game. He is another bounty hunter who has a history with Wolf. He is similar to Wolf but will do whatever he must to claim his bounty.

Enemy Type 1

This will be the first enemy type of the game and are the henchmen for the main boss of the game. They would basically only have their rifles to try and stop. It shouldn't be too difficult to get through this enemy-type so one shot should finish them. 

Enemy Type 2

This enemy-type would be a jumping enemy. It will jump towards you and if it touches you, it will cause you to lose some of your health. As this is a jumping enemy, I'm thinking this may be an animal-like enemy like a guard dog. As the game will have a sci-fi feel to it, the design may be an alien-like animal.

Enemy Type 3

This enemy will be an air enemy meaning it will be hovering above the ground. It may hover up and down while firing a weapon trying to stop you from moving forward. You will have to time your jump and fire your weapon to beat this enemy. Seeing how this enemy will hover above the ground, I'm thinking the look of it will be a security drone with missiles for it's weapon.

Enemy Type 4

This would be a stronger enemy where it would take a few shots from your weapon to take down this enemy. Maybe you would need four shots from your laser rifle to beat this enemy. I'm thinking of maybe having this enemy look a robot with a hand canon for it's weapon to fit in with the sci-fi element of the game.

Underboss 1: This character will be a right hand

Level Design

There will be multiple stages in this game that you must go through. Each stage will have a different look and may have different enemy types. The look of this game will have an animated sci-fi look to it. After the first stage, most stages may have an end boss fight with different bosses. An idea I have for each stage is to include an extra side mission that will take you to a new part of the stage where you find an extra bounty target that will earn you a bonus score.

Stages

Their will be multiple stage levels. The first stage will be an introduction to the game showing you how to play it. Some stage level design ideas I have on building rooftops and close quarters stages in a building. Each stage will have different layouts.
