Introduction

Vermin is a strange action adventure game with a weird story, characters and environment. Players will play as a lone mouse who must brave the underworld that exists under an old mansion. They encounter other pests and hostile creatures along their way to freedom.

Description

The game is a top down exploration based game, with fast paced combat against a variety of other creatures. Since they all live under an old house, human waste is utilized as weaponry, armor and even currency. Rats will use bottle caps and pieces of soup cans as armor and utensils as spears. Mice will wield nails and pins as weapons. There's inspiration from Redwall, Tale of Despereaux, Secret of Nimh, Incarceron and loosely Rescuers.

The player explores an almost dystopian world underneath the house. Decades of tunnels have formed roads, towns and cities. But there is little to no law, and it's a very harsh world. If you want to escape, you'll need to be street smart and quick thinking.

Combat also takes this same approach. You're a small mouse, and enemies are usually larger. Instead of out fighting an opponent you will often have to outsmart it. By using the environment, abilities and items.
