Game Introduction

Jungle Rushers: On the Run is a 3D Endless Running game that uses the Unity 3D engine to immerse players into a world where they are in a giant jungle. The player controls an adventurer who is trying to run away as far as possible avoiding many forms of obstacles such as brick walls, tree branches and pointy wooden spikes on the ground. The key is to collect as many coins as possible before you meet a certain faith.

GamePlay
The aim of the game is for the player to collect as many gold coins from the ground as possible and while they do that, they need to avoid endless spawning obstacles that come in the form of tree trunks, brick walls and wooden spikes on the floor.
Target audience & platforms
The primary target audience for this particular game is casual gamers and people that are from the ranges of 10-year-olds and older. This will be available on PC and Mobile devices.
Look and Feel
The whole look and feel of the game will be inside of a wild jungle full of green colours, a blue sky, some brown from the trees and some amazing animations to go along with it.

How to Play

The goal of this game is to collect coins and avoid obstacles. The way how you play is by pressing the left and right arrow keys to move left or right while running. You press the space bar to jump up and you press the down key to slide across the brick walls

Heads Up Display (HUD)

The player's view of the Head's-Up Display will have how much distance has been travelled on the top right, how many coins the player has collected on the top right below the distance travelled and the player's best score will be on the top left.

Characters

This character you will be playing as will be a wild explorer with a hat and hunting gear on.

Level Design

The player will have 3 rows to run around in which is left, right and centre. It will be a one-level game and the level will be in a wild jungle surrounded by trees, obstacles such as brick walls, wooden spikes and tree trunks. It will have a consistent colour scheme that will have green, blue, brown and grey. But once you start collecting a good amount of coins the level will all of sudden get harder so the player will run even faster and therefore more challenging.

Player View

The player's view when playing will consist of a third-person camera view.

Player Elements

The sounds that the player will experience will be jumping sounds when jumping across the wooden spikes or tree trunks, there will be sliding noises whenever the player slides across a hole in the brick wall and the player will experience a ding sound effect whenever he collects a coin.

Global Elements

Once you press play on the menu screen, you will enter the game hearing Jungle themed music and sounds such as wild animals and crickets in the background. This way the player will feel way more immersed in the atmosphere of the game.

User Interface (controls)

The user interface will consist of the word "Play" with a red background and white font with the background image being of a wild jungle. And when you press play the music starts and the game begins.

Development

For the development of this game, I will be using Unity 3D and Visual Studios.
